Vulcan Air P68 Obeserver 2 is a high-wing airplane equipped with two Lycoming engines. The plane is made of transparent acrylic glass nose which gives the pilots an excellent view during photogrammetric flights. Like other airplanes in the fleet of MGGP Aero, Vulcan Air P68 is equipped with a factory-installed photogrammetric hatch. The plane can sit up to six people and has the installation for atmospheric measurements. It is interesting that it is adjusted to the operations of spraying silver iodide.

Cessna T206H NAV is a single-engined, six-seater, all-metal airplane with fixed landing gear and a modern radio and navigation equipment. In the place of the classical navigation system and pilot devices, two large, colour liquid crystal displays are installed. The instrument panel is very similar to the solutions used in modern commercial airplanes. The combination of a digital indicator system with an excellent, digital autopilot KAP140 enables to implement operational photographic flight with a full use of the autopilot which flawlessly and accurately follow the autopilot commands of course changes with an accuracy of one degree. Staff security is supported by a system of airbags and emergency radio buoys.
Cessna 402 is a disposition airplane of one of the most well-known manufacturers in the world. Two turbocharged piston engines, with 300hp each, allow you to reach the ceiling (altitude) of almost 8000 meters. The engine power is sufficient to continue the flight even in the case of failure of one of them. Radio navigation devices on board of the plane meet all international standards; the plane may operate without visible ground, solely on the basis of the data from board indicator instruments. Additional fuel tanks provide a continuous flight of six hours and increase the range of the aircraft to more than 2000 km. Cruising speed is about 300 kilometers per hour. The plane was modified for the installation of photogrammetric camera.
Piper Navajo plane is one of the most successful designs in this class of airplanes. Two turbocharged piston engines with a power of 310hp each, allow for safe flight even in the case of failure of one of them, and to reach the ceiling of 7000 meters (the flights above 3000 meters are possible thanks to aircraft oxygen system installed in it). The plane is also approved for IFR flights (Instrumental Flight Rules flight) during which the radio navigation devices allow for flight without visible ground. The range of the plane is 1800 kilometers, and a maximum cruising speed is 348 kilometers per hour. Modifications to the plane allow the installation of each of photogrammetric cameras owned by our company.


UltraCam Eagle - digital photogrammetric camera systems, equipped with 260 megapixels frame size (the largest image resolution - 20010 x 13080 pixels!). The photogrammetric design concept of the UltraCam Sensor Family is based on four camera heads for the large panchromatic frame and four additional camera heads for multi spectral sensing (red, green, blue and near infrared).
DMC II230 is one of the latest cameras made by U.S. company Intergraph. Its design is based on the RMK D solution presented two years ago which constitutes a system of four medium format multispectral heads (R, G, B, NIR). DMC II230 is equipped with a 230 megapixel matrix, which allows you to take pictures with a resolution of up to 15 centimeters from the ceiling of 2464 meters. All of the new cameras of Intergraph are equipped with improved lenses made by Carl Zeiss, which, when compared to the older models, offer even better quality of the pictures.

DMC (Digital Mapping Camera System) is a digital camera of the latest generation which allows you to entirely withdraw from the traditional form of taking pictures associated with photochemical processing and scanning. Eight independent lenses allow to obtain panchromatic high-resolution images (field pixel <5cm), colour images (RGB) and infrared images during a single flight. The collected images allow to obtain many colour compositions of the desired resolution in post-processing. The system is equipped with a gyro-stabilized bed for reducing the impact of the airplane swing on the verticality of the pictures made. The impact of the progressive movement is adjusted by a digital system for FMC (Forward Motion Compensation). In addition, the camera is connected to a receiver Ashtech Z-Xtreme, which records the position of each photo. The complete system (camera and workstations) can dramatically reduce the time needed to acquire the data.
Two LiteMapper 6800i systems consist of four main components: the latest scanner Riegl LMS-Q680i, working on the basis of measurement of continuous wave equipped with an innovative function of Multi-Time-Around, which enables data acquisition from a higher flight ceiling (depending on the scanned surface up to 3000m AGL ), a new generation of GPS / INS (IMU-IIe series) and a Hasselblad 39 megapixels or 50 megapixels digital camera. Both laser scanners have the function to perform measurements at speeds up to 266 thousand points and up to 200 lines per second with an accuracy of up to 20mm. MGGP Aero is the first company in Europe, which purchased the model LMS-Q680i. It operates with a very high frequency of sending pulses of 400kHz.
Oblique camera set consists of medium format, Hasselblad 39 megapixels or 50 megapixels digital cameras. The cameras are installed at an angle of 45 degrees and are integrated with LiteMapper 6800i scanner which allows simultaneous recording in all the sensors. Each of the pictures has a precisely determined georeference that allows the location of every image or development of oblique orthophotomap. Due to the limitations of the minimum altitude, the maximum resolution of the camera is 5 cm.

Heli POD system with components described above is fully integrated, stayed of the art system which allow to collect wide range of geospatial data including dense point clouds and variety of high resolution images during one mission. Sensors system is controlled and navigated by CCNS and allow RGB and CIR images to be taken simultaneously on pre-defined positions regarding to the flight plan. Heli POD system allow to adjust position of thermal and CIR camera from nadir to oblique depending on project specification.
